Welcome to the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s application manager. You can use this system to apply to UNCW if you are applying as one of the following student types:
Transfer: Students who have graduated from high school and enrolled in college courses, served in the military at least two years, or are graduating from a Cooperative Innovative High School (Early College) with their associate's degree.
Re-enrolling: Students who previously attended UNCW as a degree-seeking undergraduate student and are planning to return as either degree-seeking or non-degree-seeking.
Special Undergraduate: Students who already have a Bachelor’s degree and are not seeking a second degree. Second-degree students should apply as transfer students.
Visiting: Students who are attending another institution and wish to take classes as a non-degree seeking student.
Please note that your application and all required materials must be received by the deadline for your student type.
Do not use this application if you are applying as a first-year student to UNCW. If you are currently enrolled in high school, are an early-college high school student or a high school graduate who has not taken any college-level courses, you're considered a First-Year applicant and must apply through Common App. Within 24 hours of submitting the Common App, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for your first login to your applicant status portal.
Use the links below to log into your application or if you are a first-time user, to create an account. The email address you provide for your profile will be used as the primary mode of communication with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The web-based application allows you to save your progress and return to enter information at a later time. Please log out after each session.
Create and complete our online application providing your personal information, academic history, and more.
Applicants who claim to be a resident of North Carolina for tuition purposes must complete the residency process with the Residency Determination Service (RDS). Applicants will receive a Residency Certification Number (RCN) which should be entered into your admissions application.
Following submission, you will receive an email verifying receipt of the application sent to the email address provided in your application. The email will contain instructions for logging into your application status portal where you can submit your application fee and view your checklist of required materials.
To check the status of your submitted application, please log back into your application portal. As the application materials are received, the ‘Application Checklist’ section on your account will be updated. You will receive an email when a decision has been made on your application and can check the portal to view it.
